What is JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA^® XC?

VOLBELLA^® is the newest filler on the market in the United States for lip augmentation! This filler is designed to contour lips and smooth vertical creases around the lips, often referred to as bar codes or smoker’s lines. Allergan provided Volbella to select accounts prior to it’s general roll out later this fall, and Dr Mess was selected as one of the first physicians in Maryland to offer the treatment.

As we age the amount of collagen in our skin decreases causing fine lines and wrinkles. Most patients start to notice smaller lips and vertical creases around their mouth. VOLBELLA^® gives us the opportunity to provide a safe and effective way of treating the creases and loss of volume in the lips.

VOLBELLA^® is a smooth gel, formulated with lidocaine which allows for a more comfortable procedure. Unlike most dermal fillers, VOLBELLA is perfectly packaged in a .55mL syringe. Its unique Vycross technology provides long lasting results and is approved to last through a whole year! This lip filler contains cross linked hyaluronic acid that assures a smooth product.
