How to Improve your Vaginal Health
Let’s not beat around the bush
So, you want to improve your vaginal health? Most women don’t spend a lot of time talking about urinary incontinence and vaginal dryness after child-birth or menopause, but they spend a lot of time dealing with these realities.
Women carry pads and pantie liners for “leak insurance”. Drug store shelves are stocked with an ever-growing variety of creams and concoctions promising to replace lost lubrication and provide itch relief. Pads work, but they’re a pain. Lubrication creams are messy, and they’re no cure-all. Both are solutions that treat the symptoms but don’t necessarily improve the condition.
Not every woman pushing a stroller experiences stress urinary incontinence, and not every AARP card carrier has vaginal dryness, but the math and the statistics say more do than don’t. If you find yourself on the wrong side of this equation diVa vaginal laser can treat instead of camouflage and improve your vaginal health.
What is diVa?
diVa is the first and only revolutionary Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL) for vaginal health. It uses two laser wavelengths to resurface multiple layers of the vaginal wall. Your body does some of the work too. While the laser stimulates collagen growth in the deeper tissue, the body is replacing old tissue, with newer and healthier tissue.
Why diVa?
- diVa can be customized to your specific needs, targeting urinary incontinence, vaginal atrophy, or both.
- No area forgotten- A high precision hand piece with 360-degree coverage is used, guaranteeing that all parts of the vaginal canal can be treated.
- Safe and convenient.
- No downtime.
- Quick and easy procedure.
Who is a candidate?
The best way to discover if diVa is the right option for you is to come in for a consult. The majority of our diVa patients have experienced childbirth or are menopausal, but neither is a pre-requisite for treatment. Breast cancer survivors often suffer from vaginal dryness and are another group that can benefit from diVa.
Does it hurt?
diVa is a comfortable procedure and our office does everything we can to make sure you are feeling your very best. Lidocaine gel is applied 20 minutes prior to your procedure. Typically no other anesthesia or pain medication needed. During the treatment you will feel a warm sensation.
What is the downtime?
After the treatment you may experience mild spotting or discharge, so we do recommend wearing a pad or liner for the first day or two, and you will need to avoid intercourse for three days post treatment. Other than that, you will be free to go about your day as normal.
How much do diVa treatments cost?
The cost will vary depending on how many treatments are needed to help you best reach your goal. For a series of three treatments the total cost is typically $3500, and individual treatments are $1300, but though October we are offering diVa series for $2900.
